KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
· Played critical role in major company project consolidating company's regional environments into a single global management system. Met goals of enabling uniform management and policies internationally while reducing the overhead costs of decentralized IT systems and support.
· Spearheaded management initiative to define vision for the global proxy environment and outline a complete projects roadmap for 2008-2009. Efforts included:

· Worked with team to create a redundant firewall and DNS environment with the capacity to quickly redirect traffic to failover/redundant devices in the event of a hardware or circuit failure. Ensured mission-critical data such as EDI transmissions could continue with little/no manual intervention.
· Played key role with team in seamlessly migrating traffic from soon-to-be-decommissioned firewall hardware to upgraded hardware. Initiative involved major planning with both small and large trading partners including Chrysler, Ford, GM, Toyota, and Honda. Effectively maintained testing schedule and communications to ensure migration did not impact production traffic.
· Aided in replacing outdated proxy equipment in U.S. and Europe data centers with four BlueCoat appliances load- balanced via a Foundry ServerIron XL switch, at each
facility. Delivered a 35% reduction in Internet bandwidth utilization at the data center.
· Improved contract management and lowered costs by consolidating BlueCoat maintenance contracts from all purchases around the world into a single contract.
